Launching the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Jersey and the Liberation International Music Festival in May 2025, We’ll Gather Lilacs tells the stories of the excitement of those who must leave to fight, the love, fear and loss of those left behind, to the joy felt at the end of the war by all with cabaret and musical theatre songs by Coward and Novello.

Conducted by Eamonn Dougan, JCO's Chief Conductor, the Jersey Chamber Orchestra races through Rossini's William Tell overture (the theme to the Lone Ranger), showcases one of Mozart's most high-energy and famous horn concertos No 4 - popularised in Fantastic Mr Fox and multiple TV shows. The first half ends with a selection of camp fire songs. The second half dives into the rich folk traditions of Dvořák's 8th symphony and brings Indiana Jones’ thrilling adventures to life with the rollicking march from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Hosted by Lord Lancaster of Kimbolton enjoy a noble evening of drinks, dinner and entertainment at this most exclusive of venues - the House of Lords. After drinks on the terrace, we move to the Cholmondley banqueting suited for a three course dinner. After dinner enjoy the singing of the award winning King’s Men, from Cambridge singing close harmony arrangements of music.
