Tim is a Dutch violinist renowned for mixing gypsy jazz with classical and folk music, whose recent works have been dedicated to raising awareness about climate change.

The night explores the repertoire of Django Reinhardt and the fabulous jazz of the Hot Club de Paris with some hints at the classic version of Picture at an Exhibition.

Jersey Chamber Orchestra | 90th anniversary of the 3rd Jersey Scout Group

A most exciting evening of classical and film orchestral music uplifiting everyone's spirits. Conducted by Eamonn Dougan, JCO's Chief Conductor, the Jersey Chamber Orchestra races through Rossini's William Tell overture (the theme to the Lone Ranger), showcases one of Mozart's most high-energy and famous horn concertos No 4 - popularised in Fantastic Mr Fox and multiple TV shows. The first half ends with a selection of camp fire songs. The second half dives into the rich folk traditions of Dvořák's 8th symphony and brings Indiana Jones’ thrilling adventures to life with the rollicking march from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Liberation International Music Festival - 9th to 12th May 2019

The 11th anniversary season of the Liberation Festival takes place in May 2019 with delights for all.   The opening day on 9th May commences with a musical walk around St Ouen’s Manor and a violin and accordion concert at 6pm in St Ouen’s church.  On Friday 10th there will be Schubert’s Quintet supported by UBS with such luminaries as Ning Feng, Leonard Elschenbroich and So Ock Kim.  Then the outreach events begin with masterclasses, composers workshops and educational visits to the schools.

Liberation International Music Festival - 9th to 19th May 2018

The 10th anniversary seasons of the Liberation Festival takes place in May 2018 with delights for all.  

The opening day commences with the musical walk with views over  Corbiere Lighthouse and a solo cello concert in the M19 Bunker.  On Saturday 12th there will be Mendelssohn's Octet supported by UBS with such luminaries as Lawrence Power, Alexander Sitkovetsky, Boris Brovtsyn and Jennifer Stumm.  On Sunday 13th will be Jazz at Hamptonne with leading lady Joanna L'Estrange  and her jazz quintet with a new second stage.  Then the outreach events begin with masterclasses, composers workshops and educational visits to the schools.  On Saturday 19th the Jersey Chamber Orchestra will give a world premiere of a concerto for Kosmos and orchestra to round off the Festival by celebrated composer Errollyn Wallen MBE.
