The 11th anniversary seasons of the Liberation Festival takes place in May 2019 with delights for all. The opening day on 9th May commences with the musical walk around St Ouen’s Manor with a violin and accordion concert at 6pm in the church. On Friday 10th there will be Schubert’s Quintet supported by UBS with such luminaries as Ning Feng, Leonard Elschenbroich and So Ock Kim. Then the outreach events begin with masterclasses, composers workshops and educational visits to the schools. On Saturday 11th May the Jersey Chamber Orchestra will give a Broadway Gala in the spirit of John Wilson Proms with the great baritone Rodney Earl Clarke. On Sunday 12th will be a Jazz Festival at the Trinity Showground with leading lady Clare Teal and her mini Big Band.
With increasing number of international visitors, highly acclaimed artists taking part and great media interest, once again the Jersey Music Festival will very much fix Jersey to the cultural map.
