A most exciting evening of classical and film orchestral music uplifiting everyone's spirits. Conducted by Eamonn Dougan, JCO's Chief Conductor, the Jersey Chamber Orchestra races through Rossini's William Tell overture (the theme to the Lone Ranger), showcases one of Mozart's most high-energy and famous horn concertos No 4 - popularised in Fantastic Mr Fox and multiple TV shows. The first half ends with a selection of camp fire songs. The second half dives into the rich folk traditions of Dvořák's 8th symphony and brings Indiana Jones’ thrilling adventures to life with the rollicking march from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Jersey Sings 2024 is delighted to announce its evening concert event: A Night at the Musicals, taking place at the Methodist Centre on 19th June.

Bringing the West End to the Jersey stage, we are thrilled to reveal Aimie Atkinson, star of Pretty Woman and Six the Musical, as a headline act.

In collaboration with Jersey’s own ‘The Theatre Workshop’, Aimie will be joined by local aspiring performers, as they revive their sold-out production of ‘Six The Musical, teen edition’, alongside one of it’s original West End cast members!

Jersey Sings Across the Bay 2024

The island’s largest music Festival Jersey Sings Across the Bay takes place on 19th June 2024.

Please note that audience tickets must be purchased to access the Beach Arena (by La Fregate Cafe) for the Mass Performance (1:00-1:45pm).

The Festival is outdoors centering on Jardins de la Mer between 11.00 noon to 3pm with 2 huts including the Beach Arena.

This event is more than a concert. It puts music at the heart of island life and is a huge showcase for the arts in Jersey. For the schools we want to ensure that every child in Jersey has the opportunity to make music and experience the rare thrill of performing in a very large event.

Over 15 schools are due to take part from Janvrin to Plat Douet. At 1 pm, children from 14 primary schools will perform in a huge massed choir at the Beach Arena by Jardins de la Mer.

There will be fabulous food from cafes around the Bay and the chance to raise money for children’s educational workshops.

Matinee - Music in Action Young Artist 2024 - Jersey Chamber Orchestra

Celebrate Jersey's Young Artist 2024 - Omara Silvester with uplifting music, songs and a string quartet! This exciting programme will include songs such as ''Ave Maria'' by Caccini and ''Walking in the Air - The Dance of the Snowmen'' by Howard Blake.

Suitable for children of all ages to attend, be prepared to be amazed by the extraordinary skills of our young local talents as they showcase their musical abilities. They will be accompanied by a string quartet composed by the leaders of the Jersey Chamber Orchestra, who will add their own touch of brilliance to the performance.

Attendees will hear the finale from Brahms First Symphony and the slow movement of the Bruch Violin Concerto - pieces being played in the evening concert.

It also showcases the talent of Lylis O'Hara - the Music in Action Young Artist in 2023 after finishing her post graduate studies on the Royal College of Music's famous opera course. Lylis will be singing Mozart, Bellini and Strauss.

Finally enjoy the joy of Grainville School's Bucket and Spade Orchestra preparing for Jersey SIngs with a short virtuoso performance.

Get ready for a musical rollercoaster that spans across different times and emotions. We're taking you from the classic beauty of Schubert to the stillness of the Ave Maria by Caccini, with stops in between for Strauss and Mozart.

Featuring on the sound tracks of Mission Impossible and James Bond, El Amir is a multi-ethnic musician, multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, musical director, producer and maestro. He‘s considered one of the best concert guitarists in today‘s flamenco scene, defined by his personality, maturity, sound and style. El Amir has been playing flamenco guitar and the Arabic oud since he was seven years old, and has been performing on stage for 30 years.

El Amir has collaborated with a long list of artists including Radio Tarifa, Chambao, Marcus Miller and Juno Reactor. He is also the featured guitarist in the The World of Hans Zimmer Tours that have performed for sold-out arenas throughout Europe.
