Lunchtime Music - East Meets West
Acclaimed violin and piano soloists the Türkili Duo, with Erman Türkili, violin and Elif Gökce Türkili, piano present an exciting programme about the great western composers including Elgar and Tchaikovsky who visited the Ottoman Empire and the dramatic influence and changes in Turkish music.
The Türkili Duo is an artistic union, acclaimed for their high-standard of performances and their academic qualifications. In words and music listen to the changes from the Ottoman Empire to the Foundation of modern Turkey. The stunning selection of violin-piano works by Turkish composers, includes a work by B.Duyarlar specially composed for the performers.
This exciting event is presented thanks to support from the St Helier Town Hall.
