Music in Action brought world-class flamenco guitarist El Amir to Jersey to perform outreach in schools and concerts with flamenco dancer Sabrina Romero.
Featuring on the sound tracks of Mission Impossible and James Bond, El Amir is a multi-ethnic musician, multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, musical director, producer and maestro. He‘s considered one of the best concert guitarists in today‘s flamenco scene, defined by his personality, maturity, sound and style. El Amir has been playing flamenco guitar and the Arabic oud since he was seven years old, and has been performing on stage for 30 years. He is also the featured guitarist in The World of Hans Zimmer Tours that have performed for sold-out arenas throughout Europe.
Around 300 children benefitted from his amazing workshops. This was 3 of 9 outreach workshops in the Guitar Festival which reached out to over 500 children in total through Music in Action’s guitar festival.
