Genius - a fundraising evening of drinks and music on Thursday 11th August  2022 features the world renowned soprano Elizabeth Watts at Rozel Fort. Rozel Fort is one of the most stunning locations on the island. It will be a real privilege to have drinks on the Battery and be entertained in the Tower on not one but two grand pianos.

The concert will feature an exciting and beautiful programme of music including favourite songs by Schubert and operatic arias from Gershwin’s Summertime to Puccini.  Guests will leave to the rising of the moon over the waters.  Elizabeth Watts is one of the most celebrated British sopranos whose voice is described as “one of the most beautiful of her generation”.  A winner of the Kathleen Ferrier competition, the Song prize at the Cardiff Singer of the World competition and a soloist at the Last Night of the Proms, this is a night not to be missed.   

The concert will also features the new Music in Action programme helping disadvantaged students who want to make music their career with new Music in Action Young Artist 2022 Hamish Brodie.
